Artist - Lindsay Colborne

I might be a bit bias due to knowing the artist personally but I want to share how Lindsay's art has touched me. The first time I laid eyes on the newspaper series I knew this was a man who was on a mission.

His mission was to provoke the deepest rooted emotions we have about our planet and to drive a greater sense of environmental and political awareness about our life.

The man sitting on a small chair underneath a tree where the land is parched of moisture and dying due to the lack of it, is a real life story now. Australia is experiencing the worst droughts we have ever encountered and our politicians and advisers find themselves in a precarious position of not knowing how to turn back the damage and effectively tackle climate change.

I dare anyone who views this picture not to question how we allowed our planet to die under the weight of consumerism and not be emotionally touched by this scene.
