Fury as top psychic Derek Acorah cancels show due to 'unforeseen circumstances'
A TOP psychic was slated yesterday after he missed a Scots show - due to "unforeseen circumstances". Hundreds of Derek Acorah fans turned up at Ayr's Citadel centre on Saturday only to learn the show had been axed at the last minute. A notice on the door blamed "transport problems" and it 's understood his crew filled his car with the wrong fuel at a motorway service station en route to the gig. One furious fan of Acorah - dubbed the UK's No1 psychic - said: "We were told it was due to unforeseen circumstances. "How can a psychic cancel his show due to unforeseen circumstances? It doesn't say much for his talents." Busloads of angry fans were given full refunds for their tickets. Rubin Maflure, of Prestwick, Ayrshire, said she'd waited years to see the spiritualist. She said: "I was overcome with joy to actually know that I could go and see his show and waited patiently for the day to come around. "I was told that Mr Acorah had called at 2pm to say he was cancelling his show for that night." Rubin added: "I hope Mr Acorah never comes back again and I will never speak this man's name again." A spokesman for Acorah, 60, said: "Derek was on his way when their van was filled up at a motorway station with the wrong fuel. Vine's psychic topic of the week This seemed a good topic to discuss today. Well known psychic Derek Acorah is in the bad books because he canceled a live show because of unforeseen circumstances. When you read some of the comments aired by disgruntled ticket holders after they arrived at the Ayr's Citadel Centre and were advised of his no show, you begin to see a common theme and misconception on how psychics, mediums work. Can a psychic objectively read their own life? When it comes to reading their own life, it is almost impossible to extract their own thoughts and feelings and thus the readings become less accurate. Psychics are best at objectively reading people they do not know. If they already know something about a persons life or if they are reading a family member or friend who they know, the reading becomes more subjective - the more subjective a reading becomes the more difficult it is for the empath to extract their own thoughts and feelings from the reading. That is why I don't do readings for friends, family members etc. as I am already aware of a lot of their circumstances. This is not to be confused with premonitions. Premonitions should be classified in a different category. Premonitions are linked to tapping into the collective consciousness and drawing the awareness of a future event to the surface. What are your thoughts or comments about this article? Do you believe there is a failure in the spiritual community to talk about their own life experiences? Do psychics/empaths communicate in a simple language that assists customers understand the work they do? Is there a false mystique about the spiritual e.g. guru and celebrity psychic status? What should psychics, mediums, empaths etc. do to help people understand some of the complexities of channeling? Author: Craig McDonald Source:http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/showbiz...6908-22339276/ |
